After living in Boston, MA for almost four years, Jean Strauss is looking to make a move to New York City after completing his studies at Berklee College of Music. Born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, Jean made a move to the United States at age 18 to pursue his dream of studying with and surrounding himself with some of the greatest global musical professionals. 

During his time in Boston, Jean has had the opportunity to perform and record with esteemed artists such as Kendrick Scott, Antonio Sanchez, George Garzone and Tia Fuller. These collaborations have led to an enriched musical perspective and exponential growth in his own musicality.

Jean’s playing is marked by a deep sense of expression, technical mastery and an unwavering commitment to musical excellence. Through performance, composition and collaboration, Jean continues to carve out his place in the global music scene, always striving to bring authenticity to his work.
